Therapist, BODYWORKER,
Cultural Anthropologist, SPEAKER
I have a Masters in Mental Health Counseling (LMHC) and a Masters of Cultural Anthropology (MA), alongside 16 years of international clinical experience— working in urban and humanitarian emergency zones across 11 countries, most recently Iraq, Haiti, South Africa, Nigeria and Egypt. I speak English and French fluently.
Currently, in New York City, I am a licensed therapist seeing adolescent and adult clients as well as I teach a beautiful class at John Jay College, called Sociology of Mental Illness, where we explore culture and healing and how every human expresses pain and heals differently. Additionally, a big part of my life involves being a psychological consultant for varying international NGOs in conflict and post conflict regions. In this work, I train social workers and therapists in trauma and recovery.
I am trained in bodywork at Academie des Arts Therapeutiques, Geneva, Switzerland and I offer bodywork out of my Brooklyn treatment space where I blend emotional and physical healing.
In life, we all need to play and so I play & explore the world on my bike. Next, I will be racing around Central Park, around the island of Mallorca and then up is Ethiopia.
